Double Dragon was indeed released in 1987 so your cabinet is not an original DD cabinet - it may well be that Double Dragon is a game which was never released as a cabinet, only as a kit that allows the operator to "update" existing old cabinets. 4. Voltage is indeed a very common problem - the games require 5V, but often the power section gives out less or more than 5V. Some games don't care if the output is little off, but others go totally wild. There should be a little adjustment knob/screw which you can use to fine-tune the output. 5. Both boards together are your "Double Dragon JAMMA PCB". Some PCBs have multiple PCBs in one - I have couple of games which consists of 4 stacked PCBs. Sometimes one of the PCBs work as "motherboard" and one is "game cartridge", so you can change the game by swapping one PCB (for exmaple Irem's "In the Hunt"/"Undercover Cops"/"Geo Storm 2" work like that) Remember to be VERY careful with the monitor! |
